Welcome to the Ascension of Our Lord Parish Community. We were founded in 1895 and have been proudly serving the Kensington community for over 100 years. We are proud of our multi- cultural school and bi-lingual ministry. Ascension School Celebrates over 100 Years of Quality Education in Kensington!

Ascension of Our Lord School has been serving the children of Kensington by providing a quality education since September 11, 1905. As our centennial anniversary has come to an end we have reflected on the many blessings we are thankful for:

the many parents who have entrusted their children to our care

the children who have enriched these halls with their spirit and enthusiasm

the faculty and staff past and present who have instructed our many students in academic subjects and in the love of Jesus Christ.

We remain a proud school and thank our principals from Mother Saint Ignasius, SSJ the first principal in 1905 to our 20th principal, Ms. Teresa Richardson and all those in between who have lead by example and have made this a great place to learn not only reading and writing but also a true love of Christ in our everyday life. We embrace the diversity of our student population as a great experience for our students to learn to exist peacefully with other races and nationalities. We invite all alumni, friends and neighbors of Ascension of Our Lord Parish School to join with us as we pray for the ability to keep serving God’s children in Kensington for many years to come.
